May 16th of the Year 2010

So it's Saturday night and I needed somethin' ta do, so I "Nike'd" that shit and "Just DID It!" A slacker like me with no I.D. (for reasons of just being lazy), had a wristband waiting for me, no questions asked, and was allowed into this venue. The name of this establishment is City Hall, no not where you pay your bullshit tickets, but an actual venue with a bad name. Not bad meaning bad, but bad meaning mediocre. Now, I'm not trying to a dick, but this is how it went...

I entered and was welcomed with warm faces like Drew, Lily, Mu$a, DJ A-What, and Yonnas. These people to me are like family. Why they would adopt me is a question no one can answer, and I'm not trying to, but hey, I got a camera, and an opinion. What matters is this link...http://www.thepiratesignal.com/#, not only cuz it matters, but cuz it REALLY MATTERS! This group people are really doing it and they are doing it well. I ain't got nothin but love. Good Job!

On the other hand, I walked into what looked like a carnival ride gone terribly bad. Not only cuz I'm in need of a haircut, some new shoes, and and extra pair of working batteries for my camera, but because the first sound I had to listen to was a band called Swayback under a label called DC3. The band consists of Eric Halborg (bass/vocals), William Murphy (guitar), Martijn Bolster (drums), Adam Tymn (guitar/keys/vocals). This band was as special as the special olympics. Why watch a bunch of retards on a cable access channel when you can watch the real thing on CBS. I took a picture and this is what they look like...

This is the moment when I had to entertain myself, so I ate a bunch of acid and took some more pictures. With my thoughts scattering and the rainbows splatting, I saw a silhouette of what appeared to be a man in the distance setting up shop. As the image cleared and  I gathered myself  to focus on my zoom lens, I realized it was Mu$a. At this moment I realized I was in for a treat. Not a knick knack paddy whack give a dog a bone treat. More like this Ol' man knows how to eat. If for some reason you haven't heard of him, it's not your fault. This is what he looks like...

Finally some people were dancing alll around, especially this guy who said he was on the cover of this 303 Magazine. Can't say too much about their musical sensibilities, but at least they look good and had the capital to throw away at this event. I mingle, spill a drink, take a piss, dodge a cougar, take some photos, regained my composure, and I hear an Enigma song come on. Unfortunately it was that dude Pictureplane (Travis Edegy) of Lovepump United from Rhinoceropolis playing what appeared to be a machine. I'm no rocket scientist but I'm pretty sure a monkey can press play on one of those devices. The thing that did him justice wasn't the two gals spraying silly string, but the VJing handled by Robert. At least he had him amongst the diamonds, glitter, glitzy, cover up make up what you ain't got. Seen it all before. This is what he looks like without being covered in tomatoes...

Another perplexing trip to the bathroom, smiles, laughs, photos, hugs, and flapping of my butterfly wings and I hear it. What do I hear?, the sound of "Real" music that Coca-Cola only wishes they could trademark trademark. True Denver hip hop at it's finest. This is what they look like...

The venue was used well and I still had an overall good time. There was plenty of booze, plenty of people, and plenty of more things to do after I Boston bounced and went to another spot to meet up with Mr. Black.

After Party 04/30/10

So Cervantes was done, and the after party was just getting started. An acquaintance, we'll call him "Gary", offered his home in Cap Hill for an all out rager. I've been to this particular house before and knew what kind of crowd to expect. I call them "Neo-Hippies" because they dress well and share their booze, even if it's a bottle of Crown.

At this point of the night, I'm peaking off these pieces of paper that my friend Mr. Black wa kind enough to give me. I mean everything appeared to be moving in intricate patterns and waves, and the colors, what beautiful colors! Thank goodness I was sitting on a nice soft comfortable couch. I didn't get up for a few hours and I thought to myself that LSD was the greatest discovery of all time.

Mr. Black was talking to a female with danky hoops for a while and was not paying attention to his phone. He was also duped by (what appeared) to be a homosexual into buying grade A cocaine from Chicago. It ended up being baking soda. Talk about trying to give someone a heart attack. Meanwhile, I'm taking a swig out of a Crown Royal bottle and sipping out of my friends beers because I'm immobile. This pattern of behavior continued well into the morning hours. We decided to head back to the Bad Dudes lair at about 7am. I called it a night while Mr. Black and CB had whiskey and cokes at the Atrium (a local gay bar). I met up with them a few hours later to find them deep in a k-hole petting Creager (Mr. Black's cat).
